On 13 June 2024, Afion produced the high-level Summit Shaping the Future of Shipping—Risk and Resilience in an Age of Disruption for our client in Montreal, Canada.

The Summit was held at the Port of Montreal’s Grand Quay on the St Lawrence River. As a site of historic significance in connecting North American with the world, this was the perfect venue to host discussions of such global resonance.

During the two-day conference, government ministers, industry regulators, and maritime industry leaders met, discussed and committed to decisive solutions that will shape the future of the shipping industry for tears to come.

Afion’s programme and production for Shaping the Future of Shipping—Risk and Resilience was intended to demonstrate the pivotal role the maritime sector plays in global trade.

The wide-ranging agenda featured important discussions between the leaders of the shipping industry on topics such as geopolitical instability, supply chain disruption, near-shoring, and the future role of AI.
